Coffee & their pots & makers

Am I the only person who washes the coffee pot along w/ the lid, filter & filter holder thingy after each use? I also keep the lid of the maker open until it looks dry on the inside. So many people make comments to me when they see me washing it out every day saying they don't wash theirs after every use but I don't understand why. People wash essentially every other kitchen thing after every use, so why not the coffee pot? Someone tell me I'm not the only one who washes my coffee pot & things daily.
